"Estoppel Certificate" o "Certificado de Estoppel"
It is a written statement signed by a tenant that certifies certain facts about their lease agreement; that is to say, the ratification of their current contract's terms.
Es una declaración escrita firmada por un inquilino que certifica ciertos hechos sobre su contrato de arrendamiento; es decir la ratificacio de su contrato actual.
If a tenant receives an estoppel certificate and does not respond or returns it with incorrect information, they may be legally estopped from contradicting those terms later on.
Si un inquilino recibe un certificado de estoppel y no responde o lo devuelve con información incorrecta, puede verse legalmente impedido (estoppel) de contradecir esos términos más adelante.
